A taste of the island - Ya Mon!

Last Saturday I so busy, then I got this call from a friend [Jude] asking if I can go and eat out with them around 6-ish. I said yes! Kung libre ba no? Hehehe… (I really have no plans of going out, even to eat out. Pagoda tragedy at nilalamig ang ate ninyo. Cause you know, these days I was feeling a little - little lang ha, stressed ba. I promised myself that I will have a therapy on that Saturday.) *Sinusompong talaga ako these days ng ka-O-C-han ha!!!* Naglinis ako, wala akong pakialam - Well it’s better than drowning my sorrows with alcohol na walang lasa no? *HIK*

Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you. Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama. Key largo, Montego baby why dont we go.

As soon as you enter the restaurant

-This you will see…, Now I can’t wait to be seated and sip that lustfully Bahamarita! But on the sekantots, it’s soooo pa-sweet, not my kind of drink!

This I preffer! *Inumin ng tunay na lalake - HIK* Nothing beats this freshly squeezed lime, fresh spearmint (Sana hindi pinitas sa kapit-bahay?) fresh sugar cane and fresh RUM lol with a splash and dash of fresh ripe tropical mango.

Get together dinner

The other day we was in a party, there were alot of foods - But am just posting my favorites hehehe…

I love the Chinese beef stew - This is the best! With all that super melt in your mouth na litid. Whoa it truly clog my arteries to the 9th level hehehe…

This is the kare-kare ansarap ang lambot ng mamoy at ng maka!

of course it is not a Filipino party if there’s no pancit! Oh see 2 pa ang pancit - palabok at canton.

It was such a lovely evening shared with friends! [Good food + Good people = WINNER o PA-CANTON naman kayo jan!]

Tinolang Manok by: Cecile

After having that greatest walkathon of my life, Cecile and Exel invited me for dinner at their place.

[Now, that is called Filipino hospitality.] I am happy to know that there are still some good [hindi nila ako ki-nid-nap hahaha... biro lang mga kabaro!] in this world… Remember Exel was really a total stranger to me (that I met in some cafe sa kanto ng broadway! lols - sometimes I could be a babaeng kaladkarin… laging kaladkad ni Doring.) and Cecile too (Exel introduced me to Cecile) - Now that is called networking! Hehehe… So much for the kwento.

Salamat Cecile sa Tinolang Manok! I love it… [Tinola is one of my most favorite Filipino dishes.] So I was really excited when Exel told me that Cecile is about to cook Tinola for dinner… It’s been a long time since the last time I’ve had it (years!), let alone rice! So thank you guys! (Sa wakas nainitan ang sikmura ko.)

Her tinola has chicken of course - kaya nga tinolang manok deva? It has some sayote and bokchoy - Oh my gulay  - Yumi!
