Penang!
(Friday) I feel so stressed out (personal matter that is…) So I decided to go out with Doreen (You know Doreen?) If you don’t, know check out diwatangbyaning.com - - - We went to the mall and I have spent a gazzilion and bazzilions of $$$ uhg… I am not stressed out anymore with my “personal matter” (WHEEEEEE - Happy ever after?), I am now stressing out with my credit card statement for next month lols. [So tomorrow I am going to the mall again! And return all these stuffs... lolsssss]
It’s been awhile since I last went to the mall uhg… In fairness the mall (the nicest/biggest mall in my work area) is under renovation, it’s just a shame that they have renovated the food court first and it is closed for sometime now *hearsay* Now we have to go out of the mall and find something to eat - darn it!
Since the mall is on Rt 38 we decided to eat at Penang. [Malaysian and Thai Restaurant]
At first I thought of Penang in Center City I was so excited cause they really have good Malaysian [Malay mo? Malay nya? Malay nating lahat - Malay sya!] food over there, sadly it’s different! Oh well, their kind of like connected, cause allegedly both owners are used to be partners/relathieves whatsoever blahblahblahblah and the other one decided to be on his/her own “daw” - It’s not surprising no! Mga Instik ganyan talaga kahit pa magkamaganak basta negosyo paguusapan… Hiwalay kung hiawalay!
So much for the tsismis no! Tara kumain na tayo, kaya hindi nabubusog eh ang daminnnnngggg kwento! HAHAAAAHHHHAA…
For apps we had above - Roti Canai it’s a Malaysian favorite it’s an Indian pancake with curry sauce.
And of course Chicken Sate. [This is not some of the scenes in "The Last Supper"] lols.
Is this for apps??? You tell me! [Our eyes, are still bigger than our stomach.] I guess, cause were Americans, and Americans love wasting food… Right? The average American family throws away 14 percent of their food., In terms of money, that’s almost $600 every year in meats, fruit, vegetables and grain products. [O diva?]
See the “green stuff?” Nooooo am not talking about amag or molds lol. That green thingy over there is KangKong Belachan, it’s good! It has some chillies and anchovies in it. [These is just the apps... FYI!]
They serve brown rice too! Whenever I am eating out, I really make sure that my rice is brown just like the color of my skin bwehehehe… You see I am a very health conscious person. Brown rice is far more nutritious than usual rice. [I love it! It's whole grain. It has some nutty flavor in it. It's more chewier than white rice.] Para syang binatog bwahahaha…
I need a breather, with all that FOOD!
So… Here I am again, checking out the place, and taking photos…
Taking photos, erg just like a Japanese tourist lols… The place is nice, it’s somehow cozy.
I’ll give it a 3 1/2 stars… For it’s location, decor, food, service and presentation
Ditse, where is this? Is it on Rte. 38 also? Maybe I should try this. Kase yung sa Center City, my issue is the MSG. Na-chorva talaga ako in last visit dahil nagka-migraine ang lola mo that lasted for days. Kaya hindi ko na inulit magpunta doon ever.
So how’s the MSG here? Meron ba, as in, inantok ka ba to the max after eating (and not due to over-eating ha)? Is the menu the same as that in Center City? Altho mas mukhang maganda tong location na to coz nasa suburbs as opposed to Chinatown.
And gurl, I agree with the brown rice. It is healthier. May brown rice din ba sa Center City or dito lang sa location na to?

Teng doon lang sa 38 malapit sa hmmm 73, near bally maple shade po. Gherl kahit saan hindi ka makaka sure kung may msg o wala lahat yan pare pareho bwahahah… Kaya nga ako naglolotoan lotoan ako diba? Lols… Penang center city is not as good as it used to be, pinalitan na ng Banana Leaf, as in it’s the new Penang nagaway na naman ang mga mag kaka pakner dutch why….
Okay ang ambiance hindi ganun kaingay like in Center city and it’s cozy no, the food is okay… MSG may issue ako jan hindi ako naantok nangangapal palikpik ko pag may msg hindi ko naman na feel kasi hindi naman ako kumain, tikim lang mwehehehehe!!!!
NFA ang meron sa center city hahaha… I think meron, pero hmmm natikman mo ba ang flavored rice doon? heheheh [nakakagotom naman usapan natin!]
