Bibingka and Puto Bumbong
Last New Year’s eve we was on the “A-list invite” held at Robert’s mansion [It was potluck] and I decided to bring puto bumbong and bibingka I figured out that no one’s bringing any dessert aside from America’s Top Monay good ol’ cake ng ina nya.
Pramis nag-ala Martha Stewart/Julia Childs ako heheheh… We was a little late dahil nag-kayod pa ako ng niyog at kung ano ano pa *echos*
Here’s the uncooked bibingka and puto bumbongbong topped with cheese [Velveeta] and salted egg this is before I baked em’
Here’s the mix for the puto bumbong…
Roll each of em’ them like this… *Dapat pare-parehog sukat! Laki at taba.* para walang tampuhan lols. Then you can put them in a saucepan with water o diba parang palitaw!
Here’s the cooked version *O diba, parang talagang Julia Child… Kakapasok pa lang sa oven - paglabas luto na? Hahahaha ibang klaseng powers no?*
Bibingka
2 spoons baking powder
1/4 cup cheese
1 cup butter or margarine [brush it while baking]
grated coconut
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup coconut milk
4 eggs beaten
2 cups flour
Pre heat oven at 450 degrees. In a bowl - beat eggs then add baking powder, coconut milk, sugar and flour mix untill smooth then pour in a pan top it with salted duck eggs and cheese. Bake it at least 15 minutes or so… Oppsie brush it with butter once or twice while baking.
You guys don’t expect me to have galapong, ube, kesong puti fresh from Quezon, puto bumbong steamer, claypot and banana leaf right? This may not be the real thing, but sure it satisfies my cravings! *Hoy huwag kayong pakialamera jan. This blog belongs to me… And just mine alone.*
