AlTangHap: Tapsilog

Last Friday night I was out with friends and was at home by 4am in the morning by the time I was set off to bed it was already almost 5am uhg… I woke around 4pm in the afternoon ugh… [I have wasted my whole Saturday just by lying on the bed for the whole afternoon, I hate it!]

I always want to be productive! Hear that? Lols… So I decide to cook for myself an AlTangHap (Almusal-Tanghalian-Hapunan) It’s breakfast-lunch-dinner in one.

Beef Tapa, is one of the more traditional choices for Filipino breakfast, this meal is included in the silogs (rice and meat serve with fried eggs) [aside from pandesal and kesong puti], tapa is a beef marinated in garlic, sugar and soy sauce. Best with garlic fried rice, fried eggs and tomatoes.

It is somewhat similar to kalbi, but a bit dryer, straddling the line between jerky and steak. The flavor, however, is ten times sweeter than its distant Korean cousin, and without its characteristic sesame oil nuttiness.
