A steak to remember…

I remember, when I was younger…

So much younger than today??? Hehehe…

As a YoungKid I love and fancy fast foods and all that junkies… I never liked house food ever-ever I get tired of it (Yes, I don’t eat leftovers - I get bored from it!) What I am right now, is so much of the opposite of me when I was younger, younger than today lol…

I love eating out! It is given already, whenever we go out during Sunday, that we would eat at some restaurant… And I got used to it…

I remember while growing up I really had fun times with my family… Being a brat they would all do what I say.

There are times that I really got used in eating fast food crap like McDonald’s, Jollibee Uhg that even we are just staying home, I would asked them to get me some fast food or come on let’s all eat out… Even there’s no occasion or something… Eh ganun talaga ako mag-trip noong ako’y Young pa. LOLS!

My father got tired of my dramah… So one Sunday, after going to the mall, we went home and didn’t eat out… Maybe they gots tired of the MSG? LOLS! *How come weren’t eating out? Don’t tell me - we getting poor now?* Hahahaha… (I want to eat out! Gusto ko kain tayo sa labas… For 100th time?) Hahahah… Makulet parang langaw!

After saying kain tayo sa labas for a 100,000 times my father really got pissed, I guess? I found a table outside the house with all that Banana Leaf accessories nakaw from our kapibahay (May pinagmanahan si Young? Mwehehehe…)

*Ayan ng manahimik ka! Sa labas tayo kakain ngayon!* Said my father… As in literal na sa labas ng bahay hehehe… Okay si Erpats no? LOLS!

Dutch ish why, yesterday - my very lazy Monday I decided to cook a steak, NY strip

for my lunch and since it’s kinda cool outside I decided to take it out, as in outside the house (Patio) and eat it. (Ekkkkkkkk, talagang ang Mimosa anjan no matter what, Hmm I practice what I preach! Pasosyalan!) Hahaha, at least I am not like DJ Montano “Gucci gang” noh, na palibre-palibre I can afford to eat anything no out of my own pocket! HAHAHA… Not like him doesn’t fancy Andok’s sus and always eats at Fridays? Haller Fridays ba is Pasosyalan? I don’t think so! Ewww suka-suka-suka I hate Fridays, I don’t like their food and I think they should hire me as one of their cooking machines over there and I will definitely change that EFFIN’ crappy junkie menu… Ekkkkkkk, sorry I gots carried away… Where was I now? Ehem *Clears throat!*

I miss eating out iGuess! I miss eating outside the house… Literally! (And it’s really been awhile since I had dined out, promise ever since?, I got my groove back!) =P

It took me less than 10 minutes prepare this stuff! 4 minutes on each side since I want a very tender and very juicy piece of meat! (Pinkish baby!) Ayaw ko ng parang rock-hard candy na meat no! Fpr the marinate? I simply put a dash of extra virgin olive oil, minced herbs (Basil, Cillantro and Mint leaves) And then BANG! What a lovely lunch for such a lazy Monday! ~~~BURPS~~~ ekmuse me!!! (The right way to cut a steak, you have to cut it where you can get more meat fiber. Ayan may natutunan na naman kayong Kapasosyalan ha!) I could have cut it Barubal/Balahura but hey I am teaching you guys how it is to live fine as in fine living pasosyalan lol. I have to practice what I preach o diba?

(The right way to cut a steak, you have to cut it where you can get more meat fiber. Ayan may natutunan na naman kayong Kapasosyalan ha!) In other words, gherl, you have to slice the steak against the grain (or else each slice will be tough) and to have more meat on each slice, slice it on a bias (i.e. at an angle). Also, you have to let the steak rest first after cooking before slicing into it. Otherwise, magda-dry sha because all the juices will ooze out. Resting will let the juices redistribute throughout your meat. You can also tent it with a piece of foil while resting.

Just additional tip from your friendly elf. Pinapa-alala ko ulit, hindi ko blog to! Hahaha … I hope you enjoyed your steak. So kain tayo sa labas … ng bahay nyo? Nenok na naman yung fresh herbs?

Wala atang veggies yung meal mo? Remember, catsup is not a vegetable. Or is that steak sauce? Magagalit ang trainer mo nyan.
