Seafood Island

Last May 21 me and my amo went to Libis in Seafood Island to meet up our fellow bloggers whom we just meet on the internet - ohhh the power of social climbing talaga! Hahaha…

Sympre San Mig light muna ang inorder ko, dahil na din sa super stress sa traffic at sa madurugas na mga taxi drivers sa ka-Maynilaan… [If they will not ask for a 'dagdag' they will thieve on you, kaya mag INGAT PO SA MGA TAXI DRIVERS SA MANILA!!!]

Ohh reminds me… The taxi that took me from Sofitel that brought me to Makati eh walanghiya din! Imagine, kung mapagsasamantalahan ka - pagsasamantalahan ka talaga!!! GrrrrRRrr… Paano ba naman sa sobrang dami kong dalang maleta lol, bahay ata ang dala ko noon eh, eh nalilito ako! I forgot yong mga palalaban ko na mga damit na gamit sa taxi, isang bag sya. Luckily I got the plate of the cab, I immediately called my friend (na maasahan, achus!) and let her track the cab operators number and address. After 10 minutes she called me back - aba, na-bibilib ako sa system ng Departamentong tinawagan ng aking kebigan. Ang bilis as in speedy gonzales kung speedy gonzales! My dad went to the said address of the operator, unfortunately it was the first owner. They then sold it to a new operator and the new owner hasn’t changed any information yet on chorva chorva chorvas database - MGA INUTEL! If I know pinagnanasaan nyo lang yong mga pinaghubadan ko ewwwwwww! Magsawa kayo! Mga kawatan! I was waiting for the whole day, the cab didn’t comeback and return my stuff - buti na lang mga damit lang yon… Eh kung mga importante yon? Eh di puta I will be stuck in Manila waaaaaaaaaaa… O kaya naman, wala na akong notebook na pinaglalaruan o cam na pinaglalaruan ngayon? Kaya - sigi na nga masuwerte pa din ako! Okay enough of this chorva - nagiging off topic na ang putang entry!

So where are we? Hehehe… I got lost!

Ahhhh okay - If you’re up for a heavy seafood Filipino meal, in other words feeling patay gutom ka na *hahaha* then this is the place for you.

Parang pinasabog no? As in basta na lang isinabog sa habag kainan mo. LOL

Aling Tonya’s - Seaside Macapagal…

While staying at Sofitel Since I am steps away from Macapagal Blvd., I took the advantage and forced my brother to invite me and some of my friends to a late lunch at Seaside Macapagal. *As in super late lunch! Alas 4? Hahaha* Of course everybody was hung uber! Since the night before magkakasama rin kami same people, ang wala lang si Ama at yong jowa ko lol… *Pootah I didn’t even imagine that I will be seeing and let alone spend more time with Chuva and Sunyi in the PI noh…*

This is such an experience for me! I got the chance to pick the freshest seafood in the Seaside market and brought over to Aling Tonya’s and let them cooked it the way I wanted, for a minimal fee lol. *Ang taray! Wala nyan dito sa Jameirika!*

Fancy seafood? Then Seaside is for you! Definitely the place to go for fresh seafood.

I wasss so full! I didn’t even eat that much, nawalan ng gana? Dami kasing puta-putahe! Nakakalula! After eating, kama ang hinahanap ko, hahaha *Isang kabang ajinomoto ata ang itinaktak sa pagkain ko!* Syet! Now how in the world I can enjoy my dinner at Spiral? Pootah! *That’s why, I said - I will just take the rain check! Pero sabi ng gusto mag-treat, no rain checks! It’s now or never ‘daw’, taray mo ha! Eh di just give me the Ca$h na lang!* Hahaha…

Ekkkkkkkkkkkkk may kaldero sa hapag kainan? Tsk…Okay na sana, sablay pa! Lols… [We ordered 2 of each ng mga puta-putahe - There’s hilabos na hipon (supsupin ba tawag jan?) Pusit, Seaweed salad, Sinigang na isda sa miso, Shrimp tempura and Sugpo. Everything was almost $100 kung i-co-convert, that includes all the food from the market and the paluto at Aling Tonya’s as well.

After that lunch? (May lakas pa ako?) Tambay na, sa Parilya! Hehehe… Ganyan ang buhay ko sa Manila - syet, I miss it!

Spiral at Sofitel Hotel

While staying at Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Manila, my room comes with a complimentary breakfast buffet for 2 at their posh eatery ‘SPIRAL’. It is multi-cuisine and has an open cooking stations. They have an indoor and outdoor seating. I just stayed inside, malangaw sa labas! *Nabubulok ka na ba?* Hahaha…

They offer a huge selection of food… From Continental, Japanese and the traditional Filipino breakfast

- Like danggit, tapa, longanissa, corned beef with sinangag.

Actually I was supposed to try their dinner buffet, it’s just that I just had too much food already… “Kaya ang sabi ko sa nag-invite sa akin, PERAHIN mo na lang kaya?” Bwahaha… Eat in only lang daw and no rain checks chorva ng barooka! [Sayang naman kasi, I am not a big eater no, para lang akong ibon kung kumain then we has to pay 1,600 pesoses?]

Pinas: Street Food (Part 1)

(Quek-quek and squidballs. Both are deep fried and serve on a skewers, serve with sweet or hot sauce.)

All I can say about Pinas street food or what others refer to as Hepa Zone lol - is really masarap! *Though I was a little afraid noh, that I might catch Hepatitis or H1N1.* Oki lang, may travel insurance naman, so DO OR DIE NA NO - hahaha. Just kiddin’.

But hey, try to notice it… The vendor was using a serving spoon noh! O diva, wala nang double dipping! So I guess Hepa Zone is not so highrisk of Hepatitis anymore?

I Can truly say that, Filipinos love to eat! Why? Why not, choconut! No, seriously - Everywhere I looked at there’s plethora of food and in every corner there’s a restaurant, ohhh the restaurants or turo-turo (Point-point, cause you have to point or turo what you want to have or eat… Intiendes?) there in the PI are like mushrooms… Tsk! You woudn’t believe it, in one freakin’ eskinita (Alley) there are 5 sari-sari stores (Retail store) and at least 7 turo-turo’s… Hehehe, graveh no… Nakakatuwa…

I love this little fried chickens! They taste like fried chicken lol, only they’re little…

I ate it like I was Andrew Zimmern the host of Bizarre Foods on Discovery channel, but unlike Andrew Zimmern - Hindi ako kasing dambuhala nya! Hahaha… Syet kasi ultimo alikabok ata kinakain noon hahaha…

To be continued…

25 yeah but, no but!

Like what I have planned, I cooked for my friends, last Saturday - Yes it was my birthday. Nothing fancy! Just a typical ihaw-ihaw… I was tired really, but I was happy too see them all and spend time with them last Saturday! *Tangina ang plastic ko talaga! Parang Orocan-can ang plastic na walastic hehehe…*

I started preparing around 4ish [Namalengke pa po ako!] It took me like an hour to take off this freakin’ oysters from it’s shell!

[I like ceviche! Maarte kasi ako! Pwede namang kilawin lang, ceviche pa bwahahaha!!!] These oysters are like gold kasi it really took my time noh! Tangina sa pwet pala tinitira yon - Excuse my Fraincais! But Young does not know that, not until last Saturday when I called my friend Gil and asked him - *Pare paano ba magbukas ng talaba? Bukasan mo sa pwet - he said! Ah ganun ba? Bwhehehe* Eh asan ba ang pwet dito????????????? Yong may hinge sabi nya! Ahhh okay *Sabay kamot ng ulo.* After that syet it was like A-B-C! GrrrrRrrrrr!

Get together dinner

The other day we was in a party, there were alot of foods - But am just posting my favorites hehehe…

I love the Chinese beef stew - This is the best! With all that super melt in your mouth na litid. Whoa it truly clog my arteries to the 9th level hehehe…

This is the kare-kare ansarap ang lambot ng mamoy at ng maka!

of course it is not a Filipino party if there’s no pancit! Oh see 2 pa ang pancit - palabok at canton.

It was such a lovely evening shared with friends! [Good food + Good people = WINNER o PA-CANTON naman kayo jan!]

A taste of Ilocos: Vigan Longganisa

Thanks to my friend Marian P. (P for huwat? Palad? Bwahaha) for these Vigan Longganisa from her town Vigan. This is the best longganisa I ever tasted! *It is somewhat crunchy? Baket? In fairview it is really worthy for multiple orgasm lol!*

Of course the green beans and the freshly chopped tomatoes are just props noh! *Kunwari health conscious pa din ako, after kong kainin ng sunod-sunod na araw at talagang i-clog ang arteries ko dine sa longganissang ito.* For days now, yes I had longganisa breath lol due to my burp. [Can someone tell me, why your burp smells like longganisa after eating it, even after 24/48 long hours already?]

2 AM Jade Harbour

After our Halloween party the Butsi Gang aka Notorious MSG heads to… Wherelse? Chinatown in Jade Harbour.

For a start, we ordered chicken corn soup.

What you are about to see is our PIGGING OUT MENU hehehe… I love to eat specially after drinking… Drunk or not drunk I would still eat, I am used to it, if I don’t eat after drinking I might have a hangover.

Late Night Snacking: To beat it or not to beat it?

Kind of hard to answer huh?

Last Saturday me and ChuvaChienes found ourselves in the middle of nowhere in Chinatown looking for some open Chinese joint (where we could pig out? hahaha - now that is so NOTorious MSG right there!) that are still open at that time (2AM!) Hehehe…

Restaurants in Chinatown are open until 4AM (I guess) most specially during weekends!

For most people this time of the night are already sleeping already or maybe just relaxing/chilling out in their their homes, just doing their thing. But with us - we are in Chinatown, doing our thing, trying to PIG OUT! And yes we not care weather to beat late night snacking or not to beat it… WE JUST EAT - WE ARE HUNGRY! [Red my lepssss!!!]

We are arguing weather we are eating at David’s Mai Lai Wa or the same old Jade Harbour [Both in 10th and Race streets.] You see, whenever we go out we always head to Jade Harbour (Am just tired of it! Food is good there - But, I just want something new!) But then according to ChuvaChienes apparently may ifis daw sa Mai Lai Wa! (aba malay ko!) Eh diba yon nga nagpapasarap? Ekkkkk - Bwahahaha… Seriously!

The infamous Jade Harbour, home of the Notorious MSG aka Butsi Gang! [May ganyan bang tambayan ang Gucci Gang? Wala! Kasi hindi nagkakain ang mga yon!]
